This course is open to anyone, including those without any prior experience on the guitar. For those who wish to make a Beginning in the Guitar Circle, this course will be an Introduction to Guitar Craft, where the Guitar Craft Tuning as well as a number of basic guitar practices, techniques and principles will be presented.
This course also welcomes those who are Continuing – who have had some experience with our work and wish to deepen their practice, including those who attended our course at Camp Caravan last August. More advanced practices and techniques, along with work in the House and work in the Kitchen, will be part of the course for these participants.

Seattle Guitar Circle - Seattle Folklife Festival
The Seattle Guitar Circle returns to the annual Folklife Festival, which takes place all weekend on dozens of stages spread around Seattle Center. This year we will be performing at 5:45pm Friday night on the Alki Court Stage, just outside of SIFF and the Vera Project. [Point #1 on the festival map] And, the festival is still FREE!!!!, but if you are in a position to make a donation it will help to keep this very-Seattle tradition alive.

An Introduction To Guitar Craft & The Guitar Circle with Robert Fripp
An Introduction to Guitar Craft & The Guitar Circle will be presented by Robert Fripp along with a staff made up of experienced Crafty Guitarists, at Villa Sancelso, Castione della Presolana, Italy, a couple hours northeast of Milan. I took part in the very first Guitar Craft Course in March 1985, and have been part of it ever since.

Seattle Guitar Quintet at Cafe Paloma
“Muhabbet” is a Turkish word for an intimate and friendly chat. Peter Lippman has been hosting these events for a long time. For this one, Sheryl Wiser will be performing as a soloist. And then SGQ, a quintet formation of the Seattle Guitar Circle (5 is the most people we can fit on this rather small stage, so necessity speaks).
START TIME is 7:00 p.m. It's good to try to arrive 20 minutes or a half-hour early, to get settled.
