(scream) - the definitive edition
limited edition box
When the notion of the "definitive edition" appeared, the first thing I did was to contact Steve Turnidge at UltraViolet Studios, the author of Desktop Mastering, to see if he would be willing to take on what promised to be the challenging task of helping me pull all of the recorded elements together.
He instantly said yes. Lucky me. Little did he know what he was letting himself in for.
The next call I made was to Pablo Mandel of Circular Studio to see if he would be willing to take on what promised to be the challenging task of designing a presentation for this material.
He also instantly said yes. Lucky me.
I had a concept that included cards for each song, with lyrics on one side and an image on the other. But that was about as far as it went. He liked the idea, and ran with it. But more than that, he wanted to come up with a package that was different from anything out there. I’ve known Pablo for a long time, and I trust him, so I told him to go for it. The result was amazing. No standard digipak or jewel box. A simple and elegant sleeve for the cd, and the reflective box for the limited edition. He lived with the music for a while, and created a beautiful concept in black and red, with images and word fragments for each song. Amazing.
The music is available on Bandcamp.
But if you would like one of the limited edition boxes, each numbered and signed, featuring the cd plus Pablo's beautiful cards in the amazing reflective cover, they are $15+shipping and available directly from me. Use the contact page and we’ll take it from there!
